My Story
Hello! I am Vicki Cummings, the owner of Captured by Cummings. I recently retired from working in a family business and am enjoying this new chapter of life with my husband. Together we're proud parents of three sons. Since I’m not one to sit idle, I began searching for ways to keep myself busy while also inspiring others and came up with Captured by Cummings.
Captured by Cummings is a twofold company-laser and photography.
The first part of Captured by Cummings is my laser gifts and decor. When I first started, I was amazed by the variety of products that can be done by laser. I quickly became hooked. As you look through my website you will see layered products, signs, even photos on canvas. The layered products give that three-dimensional look. Each product varies in the number of layers, from two to a dozen wood layers. The canvas art is unique in that it is made with various colors spray paint coating the canvas. The unlimited amount of art that is available along with color combinations does make each piece one of a kind. Additionally, photos of friends, family and even your four leggers can be personalized on canvas. Coasters, cutting boards, signs are just a few of the items you will see available and most can be personalized.
The second part of Captured by Cummings centers around my deep passion for photography. Photography is important to me because it allows me to capture moments that tell unique stories and evoke emotions. I do what I like to call ‘spontaneous photography’ and try to get that “WOW” moment. Through my lens, I strive to preserve those once-in-a-lifetime experiences and bring each viewer in as part of the journey. For the past several years, I have participated in the Indiana State Fair and have received Third placed award (2022) and ‘Honorable Mentions’ (2022, 2023, 2024,2025).
Friends, business acquaintances and social viewers saw my laser and photography and asked for some of my pieces and Captured by Cummings was started. The products I make are thoughtfully crafted to bring a smile, spark humor, evoke fond memories, and inspire others. Creating pieces that uplift and connect people is at the heart of what I do—because I believe everyone deserves a little joy and inspiration in their lives. This is at the heart of my vision for Captured by Cummings Whether it’s a personalized gift, a unique artwork, or a cherished photograph, my hope is that each item becomes a meaningful part of your story and brightens your day.
